Catering

Interesting and varied home cooking is prepared daily for residents by our own qualified chef. Special dietary needs and personal individual preferences are catered for. All other staff who cook in the home have appropriate certificates in Food hygiene.

Meal times:

  • Morning tea in bedrooms (to suit individual resident)
  • Breakfast is served between 7am & 9.30am
  • Morning hot drinks are available at 11am
  • Lunch is around 1pm
  • Afternoon tea is at 3pm
  • Tea & sandwiches is around 5pm
  • Supper is served between 7pm & 8pm

Wednesday Meat balls in a tomato & basil sauce Or Roast Ham Penne Pasta, Courgettes, New potatoes Bakewell tart or fruit salad
Thursday Mixed Grill; Omelettes Bread & butter pudding or Fruit Jelly
Friday Fish ‘n’ Chips Mushy peas Baked jam roly poly or cheesecake
Saturday Meat loaf Or Chicken Kiev Mixed seasonal vegetables, Dauphinoise Potatoes Sticky toffee pudding or fruit salad
Sunday Roast Leg of Lamb Cauliflower, minted garden peas, Roast potatoes Apple crumble or trifle

There are choices daily. If  however a resident does not like a dish, an alternative is always sought.

Breakfast is a variety of cereals including porridge, grapefruit or prunes, orange or cranberry juice, white or brown toast & tea.

Tea can consist of a variety  of sandwiches (including, salmon & cucumber, ham salad, chicken with coleslaw, corned beef & pickle, egg mayonnaise, prawn mayonnaise, corination chicken, beef ) or something on toast (cheese, pate, mackerel, egg, beans, tomatoes) or homemade soups served with homemade bread, followed by homemade cakes which are baked on a daily basis.

Supper is served between 7pm & 8pm and is a choice of hot chocolate, horlicks or tea served with biscuits or toast
